Lip Filler (0.7ml or 1.0ml)

Treatment description

At Aesthetics by Stephanie we use sophisticated lip fillers that are made of Hyaluronic Acid (or HA), a substance that’s found naturally in the body, but diminishes as we age.

Because HA is something that our body produces – albeit it in lesser quantities as we age – it’s happily accepted and restores hydration and plumpness to the lip tissues. Once injected into the skin it is gradually broken down over a period of months. It’s far from permanent; which in itself is reassuring. And it’s not only used in the lips; it can plump out wrinkles, restore volume to cheeks and eradicate those vertical lines at the side of your mouth.

We use the RHA range of premium facial dermal fillers from Teoxane, Europe’s number one company for non-surgical aesthetic products. Teoxane’s advanced products contain Lidocaine to help numb the treated area simultaneously during treatment. This has proven to improve patients’ experience.

Teoxane RHA 2 is a beautiful soft yet resilient 1ml filler which is perfect for mature lips that crave hydration and a restoration of youth without the stiffness that younger clients desire. RHA 3 packs a little more punch to achieve that perfect pout, but definitely no lumps!

Was really nervous but needn’t have been. Stephanie was excellent at putting me at ease and the treatments (lips and lines) was done with such professionalism and with only minor discomfort. Delighted with the results and would definitely recommend. Thanks will be returning.

Had lip filler by Stephanie and I am in love with my lips, she has made them really natural just like I asked for. Will definitely be returning, already booked a second appointment. She makes you feel really relaxed and makes sure you are well informed before the procedure begins. Highly recommend her services.

Frequently Asked Questions

The cold sore must be completely healed before getting lip filler. You will need to wait until there is no scab or broken skin.

For a first-timer 1ml of filler is usually perfect and would not make you look overfilled as long as the right product is used for you.

In my experience, 0.5ml does not provide enough of an improvement and you’d likely be disappointed once the swelling settles.

It varies from person to person, but most swelling occurs in the first 24-48 hours then starts to go down.

Some people have very little and don’t need any downtime and can go about their daily life straight away, although we wouldn’t plan it right before an important event just in case.

We mostly use numbing cream first which is generally sufficient to dull the discomfort.

As Steph was also a Dentist she can numb the inside of the mouth (injection) when requested, but you will be VERY numb for hours afterwards.

We don’t recommend using sunbeds for 2 weeks after filler treatment as you can get increased swelling.
